The DIRT Project
The DIRT Project hosts responsive, experiential, collaborative workshops and installations at public sites. Activities are based in playful excavations of the word "dirt" – as a linguistic token; as a personal and cultural idea; as physical matter in shifting contexts; and as an interdependent, living community, of which we are a part.
These experiences offer opportunities to form physical and psychic connections between humans of all ages with land, both visible and invisible; and to explore together how we might begin to identify and move beyond inherited biases.
Customized projects are based in research around commercial food and land norms, Environmental Justice, contemporary mental health issues and regenerative land practices, and facilitated through open-ended creative exploration.
